Ummmm, sorry, I don’t buy it. Look if Glover wants to star in something, let’s kick off the Black Panther franchise. The problem with the original Spiderman trilogy was that two of the three movies sucked bad. The Green Goblin with a helmet? Huh? Who thought that one up? Gobby dies in the first flick so there is no arc connecting the three pictures? GG2 on a skate board that flies? isn’t that the invention that Borat pitched to Donald Trump along with the ice cream glove? Three villians in the third flick with Venom dying almost immediately? Pick a replacement for Spidey and make it somebody who is not a pretty boy - I agree Toby was nerdy enough and was a great casting choice. So nerdy, that the Saturday Night Fever dance routine in Spidey 3 was laughably bad. Spidey is supposed to be a loser, egghead, picked on white kid. Adding race issues to the role just takes it too far afield of the original.
